Get to Know Our Club

We hail from Elko New Market, Lakeville, Northfield, Prior Lake and other towns south of the river. We love to run! Your pace or mine. It doesn't matter! We just want you to get out there. One foot in front of the other is all it takes.

More specifics:
We run Saturday mornings (7/8 a.m.) at various locations, generally in the south metro. There's usually a run in the Northfield/Faribault area and another in the Lakeville/Prior Lake area. There's also a morning crew who run weekdays in the wee hours. We welcome spontaneous invitations for runs among group members on the Facebook page.

  • Dogs: welcome, if well behaved and leashed.
  • Pace: we have a wide range of paces from 7 min/mile up to 12 min/mile and also welcome walk-run runners and walkers.
  • Saturday Distances: varies depending on weather, energy levels, training season, etc., but generally at least 4-5 miles, usually longer. If some want to go shorter, we'll choose an out-and-back route or a route that allows for multiple distances.

Become an Official Member:
We welcome our runners to become official members of Your Pace or Mine Running Club, which helps us maintain good standing with the Road Runners Club of America, through which we gain our nonprofit status and access to helpful resources to host the Mill Towns Race Series. Our membership year is from January 1 to December 31 of each year.

Our club is governed by a volunteer board of directors elected by members in November/December every year. We welcome board nominations in November and volunteers for our race committee throughout the year.

The Mill Towns Race Series

On Sunday, October 11, 2026, Your Pace or Mine Running Club will host the 5th running of the Mill Towns Race Series in the Dundas/Northfield area. Runners from across the Twin Cities, Minnesota and the country are drawn to the marathon, half marathon and 10K races for the flat, scenic course, affordability and the logistical ease. Many runners choose the event for their first race at a respective distance for these reasons. This event is limited in size to ensure a personal and safe experience for everyone.
